Practice Focus

Over the past 25 years, Rebecca's practice has been focused on working with businesses and their owners. In addition to tax, accounting and financial reporting her experience includes business advisory and general consulting services for everything from strategic planning for growth or exit, budgeting and forecasting for new product development and planning for life's many changes- kids going to college, business succession or retirement. She enjoys her work with emerging technology companies, not a surprise here in Silicon Valley, but also with well established businesses over a broad brush of industries, especially if their owners are looking to refresh their business practices or find new opportunities.

Prior experience

Prior to becoming a co-founder of TNT, Inc. Certified Public Accountants, Rebecca was a Shareholder with Burr Pilger Mayer, Inc. the fifth largest accounting & consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was the lead partner for the Palo Alto office Private Company Services Group and a founding member of the board of trustees for BPM University, the firm’s educational and career development group.

Rebecca graduated cum laude from Golden Gate University with a BA in Accounting in 1989 and belongs to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA).

Community

Rebecca regularly volunteers to serve on boards of nonprofit organizations. Currently, Rebecca serves as a Director and Immediate Past Chair for the Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce. Her past board experience includes the Pacific Art League of Palo Alto, the San Francisco Museum or Craft + Design and the Palo Alto University Rotary Club.

Interests

She’s proud to say that she trained for nine months with an Iron Team (LLS Team-In-Training -where she learned the proper way to yell “Go Team!”) and crossed the finish line at Vineman in 2011. She enjoys hanging out with her husband Mike (at home and at the office), her daughters, and the family dog, Ike. Rebecca’s other interests include a lifelong love affair with the piano, music and the arts.
